Itinerary
Quick route description
There are a few different ways to start our Lions Head hike depending on where you will find parking. From the main start we will have quick elevation going up the jeep track until the pathway becomes a single track to the back of Lions Head. The further down start will have a more gradual single track to begin with, and then a quick and steep incline to the main route, following in almost a spiral around the Lions Head to when we will reach one of the two options again.
The quickest route is a more adventurous climb with some stapel ladders on the way up. The easier alternative is available if heights are not for you, and will take a little bit longer. Both routes will then link up again for the final incline to the top of the peak where you will be presented with spectacular views to all sides and a different perspective of Table Mountain.

What a great adventure company! Cape Mountain Guides has a great selection of adventure options from hiking to cycling in the vineyards. Dohann, one of the guides, is really knowledgable about the mountains and has some real interesting facts about plants and animals. Two awesome guided hikes with Cape Mountain Guides in Jonkershoek Swartboskloof and Jonkershoek 'Tweede Waterval' (Stellenbosch). Also shared interesting info on the surrounding areas. Felt safe with clear guidance.
What a memorable day hiking! When my children were small we could watch snow only from the side of the road, and I longed to go into the mountains where there are less people. Dohann made it possible. A magical experience on the Perdekop hiking trail in Mont Rochelle Nature Reseve, thank you Dohann
